Important: The accepted quotation should confirm whether the guarantee applies to the specific work. These terms should be approved by the business before public launch.
What may be covered
Qualifying workmanship performed directly by Byron Handyman may be corrected where it fails within six months because the agreed work was not completed with reasonable skill and care.
What is generally not covered
- Manufacturer, product or material defects.
- Customer-supplied materials or products unless expressly agreed otherwise.
- Normal wear, cosmetic ageing, movement, weathering or maintenance requirements.
- Pre-existing, hidden or unrelated defects.
- Misuse, negligence, accidental damage, water ingress from another source or pest damage.
- Work changed, opened, repaired or interfered with by another person.
- Consequential losses beyond remedies required by applicable law.
How to make a claim
Notify Byron promptly at 079 138 7093, provide the quotation or invoice, describe the concern and send clear photographs. Reasonable access must be provided for inspection before another contractor changes the work.
Remedy
Where a valid workmanship issue is confirmed, the primary remedy is a reasonable opportunity to correct the affected workmanship. Alternative remedies remain subject to the accepted agreement and applicable consumer law.
Materials and supplier warranties
Product warranties may be handled under the supplier or manufacturer's conditions. Proof of purchase, serial numbers, installation requirements and return procedures may apply.

This guarantee is intended to add clarity and does not remove statutory rights that apply under South African law.
